We live in a society where excessive competition prevails in the modern era. It is more important to outperform others rather than doing well, and in a society where even a single failure is unforgivable, we constantly strive to prove our worth.
However, there are times when we hesitate, frequently pause, and often stumble along the way.
Finally, the artist, Jandi Kim, decided to take a different path. She created the "Uslung House," a place where the sun stays for a long time, providing a sanctuary for those who deviate from society's predetermined path to rest whenever they need.
In this haven, there are two characters: "Nanissi," inspired by the artist's longtime friend, a dog, and "Ragon," a projection of herself. Kim Jandi, who has already published five picture books, gradually expands her activities in writing, painting, picture books, design, media, and NFT art.

Currently, she operates the picture book publisher "Uslung Books" and the design studio "Uslung House." The artist's wish is for everyone to find daily joy and to present guilt-free moments of relaxation through "Nanissi" and "Ragon" to modern individuals.
현시대를 살아가는 우리는 모두 과도한 경쟁에 노출되어 있습니다.
내가 잘하는 것보다 남보다 잘하는 것이 중요하며, 경쟁에서 단 한 번의 낙오도 용서되지 않는 사회에서 끊임없이 스스로의 가치를 증명하며 살아갑니다.
하지만 우리는 가끔 주저하고, 자주 멈추고, 으레 넘어지죠.
마침내 다른 길을 걷기로 마음먹은 작가는 햇빛이 오래도록 머무는 곳에 사회가 정해놓은 길을 벗어난 이들이 언제나 쉬었다 갈 수 있도록 '어슬렁하우스'를 지었습니다.
그리고 그곳에 작가의 오랜 친구인 반려견 '난이씨'와 작가 자신을 투영한 캐릭터 '래곤'을 탄생기켰습니다.
이미 5권의 그림책을 쓰고 그린 작가는 글, 그림, 그림책, 디자인, 미디어, NFT 등 활동 영역을 점진적으로 넓혀가고 있습니다.
현재는 그림책 출판사 ‘어슬렁북스’와 디자인 스튜디오 ‘어슬렁하우스’를 운영하고 있습니다.
작가는 우리를 마주하는 모두가 매일의 나른한 즐거움을 만끽하길 바라며 '난이씨'와 '래곤'을 통해 현대인들에게 죄책감 없는 쉼표를 선물하고자 합니다.
